It’s not hard to see why the Kansas Jayhawks cheerleaders are one of the most popular cheerleading squads in all of college sports. They have become a mainstay at the Final Four in recent years. In addition to having some of the hottest college cheerleaders around, they are also incredibly athletic and talented.
The cheer squad is comprised 23 co-ed cheer members. The dance team, known as the University of Kansas Rock Chalk Dancers, is comprised of 20 all-girl dancers. They can be seen regularly cheering on KU’s football and men’s and women’s basketball teams.
The spirit squad is led by Spirit Squad coordinator Cat Jarzemkoski, while Lindsay Marriott serves as the Cheer coach. Along with a cheering squad, Kansas has a Rock Chalk Dance Team led by Raquel Thomas.
The school’s official website reads:
KU’s great cheer tradition started in 1899, and it includes cheering Final Fours, Orange Bowls, and two of our own national championships (NCA 1990 & 1995). Now, we cheer at the best basketball games in the country, Big 12 football games, and top-5 finishes at UCA nationals large coed division.
The Kansas cheerleaders and Rock Chalk Dancers are incredibly active on social media as far as college cheerleading and dance squads go, consistently updating their pages with cheerleader photos from recent games and events.
