The #1 Pop Songs of 2013: Not Bad, America [LIST]

Music industry publication Billboard magazine has released their year-end issue, which nicely compiles the 2013 Chart Year in pop music. That includes the official rankings of Pop Tunes With The Most Weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100. We’re pretty impressed with how many of them were also in heavy rotation at the COED offices. Well, we  mostly watched the video for the number-one #1 hit, thanks to Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” featuring Emily Ratajkowski–who inspired our own top-charting collection of Emily’s sexiest GIFs.

We aren’t obsessed with #1 on the charts, though, so let’s first let’s salute all the pop stars who just hung out in the Top 10. That would include Drake, He didn’t get much play in the COED offices, but Drake landed four songs at the relative top of the charts without hitting #1. Eminem managed the same with three hits, as did Justin Timberlake and Maroon 5.

Bruno Mars and Rihanna had two other tunes in the Top Ten that didn’t hit #1, as well. In fact, a lot of acts had double Top Tenners without ever getting a song to #1. Those include Imagine Dragons, Jay Z, Ke$ha, PSY, Pharrell, Taylor Swift, Pitbull, and Lady Gaga. They’ll have to take consolation in their millions of dollars, while we’ll celebrate that America had pretty good musical taste this year. Seriously, check out the list, and click through to remember the hits…
