Knicks' PG Raymond Felton Arrested On Gun Charges

Raymond Felton has had a career that wouldn’t be described as great. Now the New York Knicks guard is in trouble off the basketball court early Tuesday morning, having been arrested on three counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He was charged with second and third-degree criminal possession of a firearm and fourth-degree possession of a firearm. The second and third degree charges are felonies while the fourth degree is a misdemeanor.
This is not a good situation for Felton or any player to be involved in. There are very strict gun laws in New York City and Felton was scheduled to be in court Tuesday morning. He is averaging only ten points a game this season which is below his career average. Charges like this though don’t move a player’s career along; it only ends them if convicted of the charges.
Felton is obviously innocent until proven guilty but this can’t be the way Felton wanted to start his day especially coming off a loss on Monday to the Dallas Mavericks.
