Cancelled "Raid 2" SXSW Screening Leads to A Stage Fight [VIDEO]

The SXSW Festival will take a while to recover from last night’s tragic car accident–but there’s at least some entertaining video out of Austin, Texas, thanks to a cancelled screening of The Raid 2.
SXSW’s scheduled screening of The Raid 2 hit a snag, so the stars of the film came up with a great way to keep the crowd entertained. Director Gareth Evans informed the crowd anxious to see the new fist-flying action movie that they wouldn’t be able to screen it because of a technical error–apparently involving the theater downloading a copy of the Indonesian film that didn’t have subtitles. Unfortunately, the staff wasn’t able to download the correct version of the film in time, so the screening was cancelled.
To make up for that, Edwards called up two of the film’s stars onto the theater’s stage. Iko Uwais and Cecep Arif Rahman then staged a small fight scene for the patient crowd of fans…
Of course, we’re sure that the crowd is still bummed that they didn’t get to see one of the most anticipated films of the festival. In fact, The Raid 2 is one of the most anticipated films for all action fans. The first Raid movie set a very high bar, and a lot of people were anxious to see if they actually topped it. At least the fans of SXSW got to walk away with a good story, which can sometimes beat a film festival screening.
