"Grand Theft Auto V" Needs Jetpacks, So That's Happening [VIDEO]

If you thought the action in Grand Theft Auto V couldn’t get any crazier, think again. Now it turns out that Rockstar Games may be adding jetpacks to the mix. That’s no happy speculation, either. A hacker went deep within the game’s coding to find that Rockstar added some new playable elements that will allow for players to fly across Los Santos. In jetpacks.
The modder found the addition in one of the game’s updates that not only would allow players to fly around the city like The Rocketeer, but also lets gamers shoot guns at their enemies and random pedestrians like…um, an evil version of The Rocketeer. If anyone recognizes that Rocketeer reference, please let us know in the comments because we’re starting to feel a little old and lonely right now.
Of course, this won’t be the first time that the criminals of the Grand Theft Auto universe have been able to fly around their respective cities on a jetpack. CJ in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas had access to a jetpack way back in the days of Sony’s PS2 and Microsoft’s original Xbox…

Modders have also added a flyable UFO to the game, and there are references to alien spacecraft and alien lifeforms all around the city of Los Santos. It’s probably a pipe dream that Rockstar is planning to add some kind of alien invasion themed DLC to the game because they usually like to keep their DLC missions and storylines within the context of real criminal activity. However, if jetpacks are added to the mix, there’s no telling what else could be coming down the pike. It wouldn’t surprise us if Rockstar gave its players nuclear weapons to fire at each other.
