Clemson vs. North Carolina: What Time, TV Channel & Preview

The Clemson Tigers have had a season to remember with a 12-0 record going into the ACC title game Saturday night at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. There is one hurdle left for Clemson before a berth in the college football playoff. That would be the 11-1 North Carolina Tar Heels, who have won their last 11 games coming into this game and appear to be just as hot as Clemson is this season.
Clemson had a battle last week with South Carolina, scoring a 37-32 win on the road. Deshaun Watson has still looked good throughout however with 3,223 passing yards, 27 touchdowns and ten interceptions. Artavis Scott has caught Watson’s eye plenty with 77 catches for 709 yards and four touchdowns while Wayne Gallman has been hard to stop running the football. Gallman has 1,145 rushing yards and nine touchdowns for the season. Clemson could be the one team with a spot in the playoff already established but would love to get the top overall seed.
North Carolina’s only loss came in their season opener against South Carolina and the Tar Heels beat NC State 45-34 last week. Marquise Williams has passed for 2,605 yards, 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions this season while hitting Mack Hollins for a lot of big plays. Hollins has just 26 catches but for 670 yards and eight touchdowns. Elijah Hood has 1,280 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns as a dominant weapon for the Tar Heels offense to use. North Carolina is going to need a big night out of all their major contributors if they win to pull the upset here.
